Bandar Tasik Puteri (est. population 120,000) is a township area in Rawang (mukim) sub-district of Gombak district, Selangor, Malaysia. It is considered one of the biggest residential areas in North Selangor. The township is a planned community, with an area of over 2,670 acres of leasehold land and developed by Low Yat Group. Enveloped by lush terrains of greenery and sparkling lakes, Bandar Tasik Puteri is the ultimate suburban sanctuary. This township consists of apartments, terrace houses, semi-detached houses, super link bungalows and now the residents of Bandar Tasik Puteri closed to 60,000 population.[1]

Bandar Tasik Puteri is located between Batu Arang and Bandar Kundang, and it surrounded by established township such as Taman Saujana Rawang, Bandar Country Homes, Kota Emerald, M Residence and Kundang Jaya


Bukit Tasik Puteri is well-served by an excellent road network. This township is directly linked to Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Selangor Expressway (LATAR),currently under construction and expected completion by August 2015.[2] From Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Selangor Expressway (LATAR), this highway connected to North Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) and Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE). All this excellent road link connected this township to Kuala Lumpur, Sungai Buloh, Subang Bestari, Kota Damansara, Bukit Jelutong Petaling Jaya, Damansara, Shah Alam, Klang and other population centers in the Klang Valley. Bandar Tasik Puteri also can be reached from Rawang-Batu Arang Road just after Country Homes, and can be accessed from Kuala Selangor Road through Kota Puteri and Batu Arang.


Bukit Tasik Puteri has a small commercial center where sundry businesses are located. Low Yat Group had intentionally avoided developing large-scale commercial areas to avoid traffic congestion and noise to maintain the suburb's atmosphere of serenity and exclusivity. However the group has in mind for the 500 acres commercial corridor, called the Urban Regional Centre, comprising a shopping mall, medical institution and college aside from the office space. Nonetheless, Bandar Tasik Puteri has close proximity to the Aeon Rawang Shopping Centre, Tesco Hypermarket and Giant stores, which are located just outside the township (within 8 to 15 km radius).

Recreation and leisure

Tasik Puteri Golf and Country Club

Bandar Tasik Puteri is also notable for its 27-holes Tasik Puteri Golf and Country Club. This beautifully designed golf course is complemented with a unique resort-styled clubhouse with a 24-bay Driving Range, a restaurant outlet “Golfer Terrace”, changing rooms and ProShop plus other amenities like 2 multi-purpose function halls and a VIP function rooms for exclusive privacy.[3]

Puteri Central Park

Besides the abundance of parks area, right in the heart of Bandar Tasik Puteri is the Puteri Central Park. Sited on a 33 acres land, this park is possibly the largest park around with a host of amenities catered to residents of all ages. With a unique recreational playground to stimulate both mind and muscle, the park provides various attractions for the residents’ relaxation and enjoyment. These include the children’s playground, multi-purpose hall, jogging paths, water features, watch tower, gazebo, exercising equipment, retail and exhibition area and contemporary landscaping.

Bird Sanctuary

In addition, not too far after passing by the entrance into Bandar Tasik Puteri, nature enthusiasts can find a wetland where various species of exotic and migrating birds call home. Officially declared as a bird sanctuary by the State Government of Selangor where no hunting is permitted, the site is a natural habitat for a majority of black herons and a few other bird species. In the afternoon, the area is transformed into a bustling marsh where birds of all kinds make a stop at the wetland to the awe of bird watchers. A watch tower has also been erected for the convenience of observers and nature lovers.[4]

Others Recreation Areas

Beside that, within only 10-minutes drive away from Bandar Tasik Puteri via KL-Kuala Selangor Expressway, residents can enjoy public parks and forest reserve such as Taman Rimba Templer, Hutan Lipur Kanching and Taman Rimba Komanwel.

Bandar Tasik Puteri is built to serve residents so that it's planned with many facilities such as mosque, a police station, a post office, parks, recreation areas, playgrounds, petrol station, ATM services, 24-hours sundry shop, kindergarten, primary and secondary schools, religious school, college, night market, agriculture market organized by FAMA and dialysis center
