Reality Redux : Unlocking Homo Communicans: unlocking Homo communicans

By: Dr. Henk L.C. Meuzelaar

A few years ago I started editing my notes on experiential reality. Having to navigate the ever-shifting contours of reality made me forego free-flowing blog styles in favor of a tightly structured, synoptic format. Iterative winnowing and condensing (while allowing space-saving jargon or acronyms but no SMS lingo) gradually produced the version in front of you. For those who never laid eyes on single-page chapters before; behold a triad of four-page Synopses, plus Prelude and Postlude, for a grand total of fourteen poster-style pages... Reality Redux is too highly condensed to serve as an introductory textbook. Unpacking its contents requires a firm understanding of basic scientific principles and methods as well as willingness to fill in blanks on-the-go; e.g. via internet searches or science & technology fora. It does not serve up ready-to-eat 'reality tv' dinners but, rather, a choice of key ingredients and methods with which to compose, or merely spice up, one’s own favored cuisine. Bon Appetit! ...

"Socrates’ haunting cave scenario, immortalized by Plato, exposes reality issues that still bewitch us today: duality, dimensionality, experiential vs agreement reality, free will and our quest for purpose"............ "Now, 2,500 yr later, billions of humans chained to reality TV are de facto agreement reality prisoners like the hapless souls in fig 30.".................. "Direct brain-to-brain (b2b) communication of experiential reality objects, scenes and events sounds perhaps farfetched but is a reasonable extrapolation from recent advances in nSPEC, GUI & MDA techniques (e.g. figures) that do not require quantum jumps in science & technology. Our smartphones already incorporate all elements of “universal translators”, viz. speech-to-text and text-to-speech conversion plus language translation." ................ "Mark Zuckerberg’s recent prediction that future Facebook users will communicate by telepathy [71] may have caused consternation. However, the b2b route outlined in figs. 31c and 32 essentially leads to that same endpoint." ...

Our Extraterrestrial Neighbors

By: Shelton Ranasinghe; Bunchy Rahuman, Editor

A radio signal is traced from outer space by SETI. The story now heads in an unexpected direction. This narrative is serious, not heavy and has a novel mix of technology, philosophy and ideology to suit readers of all ages. The singular feature of the book unravels as the soft and gentle mannerisms underlying the basic nature of the aliens come to light in the later chapters...

It was 7th August 2011, and 10.55 pm. Greg, one of Seth’s staff members who was about to pour a cup of coffee for him, heard an unusual beep coming from his monitor. It was pulsating on the monitor repeatedly at regular intervals. He went back to his seat immediately; diverted his concentration fully on it and realized that may be the sign of SETI’s dream coming through. .... He said “As human beings, we should respect each other more than anything. Now I could visualize the damage we were doing to the moon people’s society with more and more of our influence and interference. Dooda’s speech was an eye opener to me in the matter of respecting each other’s belief system on which human societies are built. Everybody should realize the amount of influence that a belief system can have on the structure of a human society. Belief systems influence the architecture of our buildings, the food we eat, legal systems we follow, our customs, rituals we observe and how we behave”. ...

By: Nacho Frades

Nine Poems : Volume 1

By: Ankur Mutreja

Complex are the ways of life. Difficult it is to describe them in Black & White. Emotions are many; Words are few. And those who know them are far and few Life is a book of poems; And this is mine. Beautiful or ugly, you determine. ...

Standing frail, she diffused her smell far and wide. Not a man who was not attracted to this beauty of fairies. Not a man who didn’t wish to appropriate her for self. But her misty eyes were still poignant for love. For which vulnerability, the men staged duals a plenty. Yet she remained Virgin, for none had the limbs enough. The luxury of choice she didn't have, But her heart plotted a rebel nevertheless. An evening clouded the Sun of the West. When the sounds of prayer were sent in the air with smell. But the dog the men are, they heard only smell. And she remained Virgin, for none had the ears enough. In the morning of the sun after an endless night of hope. She dreamt of a prince of valor, chivalry and a lovely soul. He came to rescue her from the grip of darkness. And embraced her in his arms with love and dearness. Alas! Her dream broke for it was a day-dream in the Sun. And she remained Virgin, for had she not the eyes enough. . Never did she like the shabby wires inside her head. And gave all credit to her heart, eyes, face and smell. Finally, she turned to her mind in despair for help. And the a...

March of the Evil Empires! : English Versus the Feudal Languages!!

By: Ved from Victoria Institutions

This is a book containing a revolutionary idea about understanding society, human behaviour, history, anthropological features and many other aspects of human beings. The basic understanding that is being put forward is that languages, which are the software for human communication, are powerful media, which not only can help in communication, but also does contain extremely powerful designs and programs, which literally design all societies. Languages are actually powerful machines that can create a definite and pre-definable pattern, along which all human beings arrange themselves, to form different societies. Different type of languages form different type of societies; for example,a group of persons who think and talk in Tamil, would form a society, which would have remarkable Tamil features, and identifiable behaviour patterns.A group of persons who do the same thing in Spanish would display definite Spanish looks, demeanour, behaviour and social pattern and arrangement. An English speaking society would be having its own definite looks and, also a very easily identifiable interpersonal interaction configuration. ...

A QUOTE from the book about what would happen to the US, when feudal language speakers swarm into this once good quality English nation. This was written around 1990: ...a stage may come, at least, in certain areas, where the innate resilience of the English structure may be severely tested; and cause much distress to the individual persons; and can in a matter of time, cause domino effect on many other areas, causing strange happenings of technological failure, inefficiency, conflict, hatred, events that may be described with shallow understanding as racially motivated, decent and peaceful persons acting with unnatural violence etc. Rude officialdom, arrogant and trigger-happy police, increasing corruption, insolent attitude to persons who are judged to be doing lower jobs, time consuming judiciary, rules and regulations, which are laughable in meaning but having a sting from which many get hurt, and a general feeling of hopeless for the solitary individual, as against the might of the society are all general characters of the effect of feudal languages. What has to be borne in mind is that feudal languages do have elemen...

The Warden Threat

By: David L Morrese

And now for something completely different—a humorous science fiction parody of epic fantasy adventure stories—an anti-fantasy book that pokes some good-natured fun at the serious tone and dependence on magic common to many epic fantasy adventure genre novels. There are no dragons here, but there are some androids. This is the story of Prince Donald of Westgrove. He is the idealistic third son of the king, and he comes to believe that he may be the only one able to protect his country from an invasion spearheaded by an ancient and massive magical stone warrior known as the Warden of Mystic Defiance. Donald, unfortunately, is woefully unprepared. His only real understanding of such things comes from his reading of adventure stories. When he finds an ancient scroll he believes may allow him to take control of the mysterious Warden, he eagerly takes on the task. He dreams of saving the kingdom and becoming a hero like those in his books. To his dismay, his quest turns out to be nothing like he imagined. He finds the stories in his library seriously understate the complexities and hardships involved. He also soon realizes that ...

Donald held his breath. The great black monolith stood its ground refusing to so much as acknowledge his presence, much less answer his summons. “Maybe you have to do it naked,” Muce whispered, breaking the silence. “What?” The young notso held the prince’s translation of the patched vellum scroll in his hand. “It says here, Naked to the Warden’s love. Maybe that means you have to do it without any clothes on.” “Let me see that!” The prince snatched the paper from his companion’s hand. “No. That’s just a poetic way to say you have to be sincere. It can’t literally mean without any clothes because it also says you have to have this silly hat and glove, for the gods’ sake. How can you be naked wearing a hat and a glove?” “I don’t know, but that’s what it says, and what you did before didn’t work. You sounded real good, though, Your Highness. It was really impressive.” “Uh, thanks. What do you think, Kwestor?” asked Donald. “You still don’t want to know. But if you’re going to try anything else, you’ll need to do it soon. Dawn doesn’t last that long.” The prince turned his eyes to the horizon and the creeping light of dawn. “B...

Army Reserve Medic : My Experience with the 691st Medical Team (forward surgical)

By: Victor T. Chambers

This book is an introspective look at the influence war, love and religion has on man.

I have come to believe: what it is to be a man is not something rigid. Every generation has its war and every thousand has its God. For every new generation, babies are born from union and raised in every variation. The boy becomes man by culture, tradition, religion or war. Some men become so by choice and some do not live to become men at all. These men may grow and progress through life yet find themselves trapped in the shadows listlessly searching for something they cannot even name....
