The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) was founded in 1995 and since that year they have presented the Critics Choice Movie Awards. The following is the list of winners and nominees for the Critics Choice Movie Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. This award was first given in 1995. There were no nominees until 2001. There have been two ties in this category. There are currently six nominees annually.
