Health care in Spain accounted for 8.4% of GDP in Spain in 2006. It was 2,458 USD in 2006 (adjusted for purchasing power parity), compared with an OECD average of 2,824 USD.[1]

Life expectancy at birth in Spain was 81.1 years in 2006, more than two years higher than the OECD average.[1]
