  • Sangsad TV - Sangsad TV is a state-owned channel which broadcasts the parliamentary activities of Bangladesh. It started broadcasting from 25 January 2011.

Bangladesh Television [BTV] (State-run)

Bangladesh Television is the first and the major state owned television channel in Bangladesh. The transmission is from the capital, Dhaka. The transmission is relayed to the whole country via local relay stations in major cities of the country. There is also a regional station located in Chittagong which broadcasts local programmes in evening. In 2004, BTV started worldwide broadcasts through its satellite based branch, BTV World.[2]

Sangsad TV (State-run)

Sangsad TV is another state owned television channel, owned by the Government of Bangladesh. It broadcasts the parliamentary activities of Bangladesh.

ATN Bangla

ATN Bangla is a Bengali language digital cable television channel. It transmits from its studio in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The channel is transmitted throughout South Asia, the Middle-East, Europe, and North America. The channel offers a wide variety of programming including news, movies, dramas and talk shows.

NTV

NTV is another private television station in Bangladesh. It transmits from its studio in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Owner is Mr. Falu, friend of Tareq Rahman.

RTV

RTV started operation on 26 December 2005.[3] It mainly broadcasts programs in Bengali.

Channel i

Channel i is a privately owned Television network in Bangladesh and the country's first digital channel. It is owned by the Impress Group, among the largest conglomerates in Bangladesh with interests in textiles, pharmaceuticals and media.

Diganta Television

Diganta Television is a private satellite TV channel in Bangladesh, founded in 2008. This is a project of Diganta Media Corporation, which is joined with one of its daily newspaper "'The Daily Naiya Diganta"'. Diganta TV started formally broadcasting on 28 August 2008, with 16 hours of news and 8 hours of entertaining programs. Its operation has been temporarily suspended by BTRC.

Islamic TV is the first Islamic television station in Bangladesh. The owner of the channel is Said Iskandar, the younger brother of the Ex-Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. By the order of Govt. its broadcast has been temporarily closed.

Maasranga TV

Maasranga Television is another private television station in Bangladesh. It transmits from its studio in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is a part of Square Group.

Mohona TV

Mohona TV is another private television station in Bangladesh. It transmits from its studio in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Bijoy TV

Bijoy TV is another private television station in Bangladesh. It transmits from its studio in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

ATN News

ATN News is a 24/7 news channel in Bengali. It transmits from its studio in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The channel is transmitted throughout South Asia, the Middle-East, Europe, and North America.

Radio CITYFM

CITYFM 96.0 FM is a 24-hours private radio station in Bangladesh. Radio CITYFM starts its transmission on 23 March 2013.It is currently available in Dhaka.

Radio Foorti

Radio Foorti 88.0 FM, Radio Foorti is a Bangladeshi FM radio station. The station went live on September 21, 2006. It is currently available in Dhaka, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Mymensingh, Chittagong, Noakhali, and Cox's Bazar.

Radio Today

Radio Today 89.6 FM is the first FM Radio station in Bangladesh. Firstly the coverage was only in the capital, Dhaka, later it is in the port-city Chittagong. Radio Today now extended more 6 stations in Cox's Bazar, Sylhet, Khulna, Bogra (The ancient capital of Pundravardhana), Bogra., Mymensingh and Barisal excluding Dhaka and Chittagong. It has 8 Station running at present. Radio Today is planning and in processing to expend more two stations in Kushtia & Comilla within a short period of time.

Radio Amar

Radio Aamar 88.4 FM is a 24-hours private FM radio station in Bangladesh. It broadcasts on 88.4 FM (Previous Frequency 101.6 FM) in Dhaka. It started its official transmission in 11 December 2007.

ABC Radio

ABC Radio 89.2 FM is a radio station owned by Mediastar, a sister concern of Transcom Group. The studio headquarters is in Dhaka while it also has coverage in Narayanganj, Gazipur, Tangail, Manikganj, Narsingdi, Brahmanbaria, Madaripur, Chandpur, Faridpur, Comilla, and some areas of Feni, Kishoreganj and Sirajganj.

DHAKA FM

People's Radio

People's Radio 91.6 FM is a 24-hours private FM radio station in Bangladesh. The studio headquarters is in Dhaka

Radio Bhumi 92.8 FM is a 24-hours private radio station in Bangladesh. Radio Bhumi starts its transmission on 30 September 2012. The studio headquarters is in Dhaka.

Community Radio in Bangladesh

The Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC), in special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, considers community radio a special area for intervention. BNNRC has been promoting advocacy to the government in relation to community radio with other organizations since its emergence in 2000 As a result, the Ministry of Information of the People's Republic of Bangladesh announced the Community Radio Installation, Broadcast and Operation Policy 2008. Under this policy, the Ministry of Information approved 16 community radio stations for the first time in Bangladeshi history. To ensure the free flow of information to the people, the government enacted the Right to Information Act 2009. Community radio stations are a strong step in empowering rural people. Initially, the government approved 16 community groups: Radio NeeL 98.2 FM,Bogra,Bangladesh.....
