2007 Kazakhstan Premier League

Kazakhstan Super League 2007 was the 16th edition of Kazakhstan Premier League, starting on March 31, 2007 and finishing on November 10, 2007.

Promotion and relegation of 2006 season

Although winning promotion FC Avangard did not have the financial capabilities to accept the step up and so FC Kaisar were spared relegation.[1]

Thus, only one team from the Kazakhstan First Division was promoted at the end of last season:

  • Ekibastuzets was disqualified from Superleague for non-sportsmanship performance in Kairat - Ekibastuzets fixture.[2] And Okzheptes spared relegation.
  • Irtysh will not be able to comply with UEFA licensing regulations, and therefore will be replaced by FC Zhetysu in Intertoto Cup 2008[3]
