Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi were the defending champions. They accepted the invitation for the tournament, but withdrew before their match against Carly Gullickson and Bernard Tomic and were replaced by Akgul Amanmuradova and Rik de Voest.

Top seeds Cara Black and Leander Paes won the title at the 2010 Australian Open tennis tournament defeating Ekaterina Makarova and Jaroslav Levinský in the final 7–5, 6–3.
