Akoko Edo is a Local Government Area in Edo State, Nigeria. Its headquarter is in the town of Igarra. It has an area of 1,371 km² and a population of 262,110 at the 2006 census.

The postal code of the area is 312. The towns include Igarra, Enwan, Aiyegunle, Ugboshi-Afe, Ibillo, Ikiran-Ile, Somorika, Lampese, Imoga, Ososo, Akuku, Ojirami-Dam, Ojirami-Peteshi, Ojirami-Afekunu, Dagbala, Makeke, Ekpe, Ekpedo, Bekuma, Okpe, Ijaja, Oloma, Uneme, Ikpeshi, Ugboshi-Ele.[1]
