Barbara Knowles Debs (born in 1931) is an art historian who was the president of Manhattanville College and in 1989 the interim director of the New-York Historical Society.[1][2][3]

Biography

Barbara Jean Knowles was born in 1931 to Stanley Freeman Knowles of Cranston, Rhode Island. On July 20, 1958 she married Richard A. Debs in Orleans, Massachusetts.[4] They have a daughter, Elizabeth Anderson Debs.[5]
