Christmas Is Almost Here is singer-songwriter Carly Simon's 25th album, 21st studio album, and first Christmas album.[1] The album was released on October 22, 2002, and peaked at #49 on Billboard's Top Holiday Albums chart.[2]

Release History and Promotion

Christmas Is Almost Here has been released in three different editions. The album was first released in 2002, then in 2003, it was re-released as [3] The third release came in 2010, when Borders released special limited copies with the track "The Night Before Christmas",[4] which came from Simon's soundtrack to the 1992 film This Is My Life.[5] The previous year the song had been added to the MP3 version of the album.[6]

Simon promoted the album throughout the holiday season with many television appearances, such as Good Morning America, The Caroline Rhea Show, Live with Regis and Kelly, and The Today Show. Simon's son, Ben Taylor, accompanied her on many of these promotional appearances.
