Fort Ebey State Park

Fort Ebey State Park in Island County, Washington is a camping park in the Washington State Park System.[1] Fort Ebey was originally built during World War II as a coastal defense near the mouth of Puget Sound. Located 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Coupeville, the park consists of 645 acres (261 ha) on Whidbey Island with 3 miles (4.8 km) of saltwater shoreline on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, a freshwater lake, and over two dozen miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. Other available activities include fishing, beachcombing, birdwatching, interpretive activities, and paragliding.[2]

Approximately 4 miles of the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail go through the park.
