Upon its release, I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings received positive reviews from music critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from critics, the album received an average score of 76, which indicates "generally favorable", based on 16 reviews.[1] AllMusic's Sam Samuelson thought that "it might have been wiser to release Amnesiac and some of the material from this release as a complete Kid A sessions package, rather than a couple of thrown-together releases."[2] Stephen Thompson of The A.V. Club wrote: "Though marred by characteristically unrevealing packaging and inexplicable brevity, I Might Be Wrong casts new light on the band's much-examined recent material."[3] Entertainment.ie critic Andrew Lynch was positive in his review of the album, stating: " Unlike most live albums, this one captures some of the excitement of actually being there and gives Radiohead back the human dimension they've recently been in danger of losing."[4]
