This is a list of supercentenarians who died before 1980. One source of lifespans is the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) who as of January 2014 report 47 people, of whom 37 are female and 10 are male.[1]

f^ Rentel was born in Geldauschinken, which was then part of the Russian Empire. It is now in Lithuania.
g^ Bernatkova was born in Prague, which was then part of Austria-Hungary. She died in the Zlín Region, which was then part of Czechoslovakia. Both are now in the Czech Republic.
h^ Roy is a native of Quebec, which was part of the British Province of Canada before forming the federal dominion of Canada in 1867.
