The Air Force Institute of Aviation Technology (Initials: AFIAT), is an accredited[1] and graduate school operated and managed by the Pakistan Air Force. It is located at PAF Base Korangie-Creek at the Korangi Creek Military District, in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.[2] It is a component of Air University and the Air Force Education Command, the school has been awarding degrees in Aero mechanics and Aviation electronics as well as offering courses in Aerospace studies.[2]

The primary purpose of the PAF Institute of Aviation Technology is to provide specialized education in aerospace science and mechanical engineering to officers and enlisted Pakistan Military personnel and civilians at the post-graduate level. The Naval Engineering College (NEC) and Military College of Engineering (MCC) serve a similar purpose. The AFIAT, with NEC and MCC, are not specialized staff college or war colleges, instead the school focuses on science and technology. The school is affiliated with NED University of Engineering and Technology and contains a civilian faculty. The school is not restricted to military officers; civilians can take an admission and enlist in departmental courses offered to military personnel.
