Paolo Lorenzi (Italian pronunciation: ; born December 15, 1981 in Rome, Italy) is an Italian professional tennis player, and current Italian no. 3. His career-high singles ranking is World No. 49, achieved on 4 March 2013. Lorenzi is coached by Claudio Galoppini.[1][2]

Tennis career

Lorenzi reached his first ATP World Tour final at the age of 32, in São Paulo. Here, at the 2014 Brasil Open, the Italian reached for the first time the semifinals in an ATP 250 tournament upsetting Juan Monaco in three sets; then he went into the final after the retirement of Tommy Haas in the semifinals when the German was down 3–6 2–3. He would go on to lose the final to Argentine Federico Delbonis, 6–4, 3–6, 4–6.
