Ramachandrapuram is a Town and a municipality in East Godavari district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located about 30 km from Kakinada, about 41 km from Rajahmundry and about 10 km from Mandapeta . The famous temple of Lord Shiva at Draksharamam is located about 5 km from here. The present MLA of this constituency is Thota Trimurthulu from Venkataya Palem.

Demographics

As of 2011 Census of India, the town had a population of 43,657. The total population constitute, 21,544 males, 22,113 females and 3,994 children, in the age group of 0–6 years. The average literacy rate stands at 82.25% with 32,623 literates, significantly higher than the national average of 73.00%.^[3]
