Excerpt
So here we are in the 13 century standing on a muddy cart track, it rained last night and we are in the middle of a village ten miles North of Nottingham called Wellow. It is the first of May and everyone is celebrating the May festival, the end of winter and the start of a new farming season. There is drinking, dancing, eating what food was left from the winter and more drinking.
