Upnishads are the gem of Vedic texts and they are germinating point of various philosophies originated in India and outside .There are lot of translation and explanations of these text existing for thousands of year. Most of school of thoughts in Hinduism have written vast commentaries upon these texts and tried to prove that there view of thought is based upon Vedas. This text is written in poetry form in one of the most important language of India. The Maithili poem form will make original text accessible in native language. The other reason is mother tongue is most close to an individual and it directs hits the chord of heart and brings diverse thoughts which become mechanical process in other languages.

सर्वस्व संपत्ति समर्पण भेल लक्ष्य । वाजश्रवा ऋषि केला सर्वमेध यज्ञ ॥ १॥ पुत्र नचिकेता मन उपजल श्रद्धा भाव । पिता केर दक्षिणा देबय के बाद ॥ २ ॥ वृद्धा जग्धतृणा दुग्ध रहित गोदान । भेटतै कोन लोक हुनका हे भगवान ॥३ ॥ तीन बेर पुछलैथ हमरो दान करू अतिशीघ्र । क्रोधी पिता केलें हुनका याम केर दान विचित्र ॥४ ॥ प्रथम छी किनको से किछ से छी द्वितीय ॥ आई मृत्यु की काज लेता हमरा से अद्वितीय ॥ ५ ॥
