The 1997 Kids' Choice Awards occurred on April 19, 1997. The award show was held at Grand Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. Actress Rosie O'Donnell was the host of the program. Madonna set up her friend Rosie O'Donnell via "videophone" for a sliming.[1]
