Harry Howard Varner is a former head coach of the University of Virginia college football program from 1915-1915. He was born in Warrenton in 1885.[1][2]

Varner later worked as a surgeon in El Paso, Texas. He died there after suffering fro prostate cancer[3] in 1970.[4]
