Sport.ro is a private channel in Romania, launched on July 27, 2003 and dedicated entirely to sports. Sport.ro reaches nearly 64% of the population of 21.5 million inhabitants of Romania and its broadcast schedule contains domestic and international sporting events. Sport.ro is broadcasting 24 hours of 7 days and according to GFK Romania, during January–October 2009, has achieved an average audience of 2.7%.

Sport.ro is targeting urban men between the ages of 18-49 and has a varied program schedule, which combines news, sport shows, entertainment and the most important sporting competitions in the country and in the world.

Programs

"Talk shows: „Information” and „Special” Hosted by Lucian Lipovan, Stefan Beldie, Ioana Cosma and Marius Chican, „Information” and „Special” Mighty Mo, Daniel Negreanu, Lucian Bute or Zoltan Mesko are just some of the names that were invited in Sport.ro’s studio.

"Sport.ro News " Sport.ro offers to viewers over 3 hours of news every day. Alexandra Derevici, Ramona Păun and Alexandra Tudor come with the latest information in sports, in the three journals - 17:00, 18:00 and 21:00. The concept of the new decor was designed by Janson Design Group in the United States, a company that worked with famed NBC News, Sky News, National Geographic Channel and Pro TV.

"Football at Sport.ro" Sport.ro and Pro TV will broadcast all matches of Romanian teams qualified in Europa League. In addition, Sport.ro will follow step by step the evolution of the Romanians in the new European competition. Statements, interviews, goals, press conferences, spectacular reports from the scene - they can all be seen live on Sport.ro.

Sport.ro will broadcast Cupa României Timişoreana, the competition of surprises and the only competition where money do not make the classification.

Liga II, is also on Sport.ro. For the first time in history, Steaua and Dinamo played in the second league, in August 2009, and the derby Dinamo II - Steaua II was broadcast live by Sport.ro.

The most spectacular championship of the world is live on Sport.ro, every Saturday and Sunday. In football, Brazil and Argentina are the most prolific nations and can brag that they gave the world Pelé, Maradona, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Robinho, Rivaldo, Messi or Kaká. Fabbiani and Culio came from there right to Romania.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Inter, Milan, Juventus are just some of the great teams that train up for the new season in friendlies matches broadcast live on Sport.ro.

"Skandenberg at Sport.ro" Sport.ro is the first sport channel with its own armwrestler that beat over 100 opponents one after another, this was seen by 89,000 men between 18–49 years. The marathon lasted 4 hours and had luxury guests - Ana Maria Prodan, Local Kombat fighters – Ciprian Sora, Cătălin Moroșanu, Sebastian Ciobanu and Alexandru Lungu. Some music stars have also tried their luck with Oncescu - for example Kamara from „Black and White”. National and European arm wrestling championships hosted in Bucharest and a Vendetta Super Match from Las Vegas of four world champion Ion Oncescu were seen also on Sport.ro.

"Tennis at Sport.ro" In 2009, Roger Federer won the sixth trophy at Wimbledon and recorded 15 Grand Slam titles. He played against Andy Roddick, live on Sport.ro, the longest final in the history of Grand Slam tournaments - 4 hours and 18 minutes. In the female finale, Serena Williams defeated her sister Venus for the third time in a Wimbledon final, live at Sport.ro. And the Tennis Masters tournaments in tennis can be seen also on Sport.ro.

"Handball at Sport.ro" For the first time in history, a Romanian handball team can reach the top 16 in the world. The system changed – for the total of 6 teams, 4 of them are going to be qualified, and handball players from Viborg HK.

"Volleyball at Sport.ro" Romania’s volleyball champion in the past three years, CSU Metal Galati, plays live on Sport.ro one of the hardest groups of Champions League this year. The first Romanian team that plays in the new format of the League is beating the ex-team of Cristina Pîrv, Asystel Novara. Metal
