City Newspaper is the alternative weekly newspaper of Rochester, New York. It has been published since 1972 and its current circulation makes it the second-largest newspaper in the greater Rochester region.

City Newspaper caters to residents of the region with progressive views on topics such as economic development, racial equality, local government, and other social issues. The magazine also has a large arts section which includes reviews of local and national bands, local artists, movies, and theater productions. City Newspaper is a free news weekly and can be found at hundreds of locations around the region from supermarkets to restaurants.
