Green chip stocks are along the lines of "green" or earth friendly industry. These include:

The phrase, “Green Chip Stocks”, which refer to the publicly traded companies in the green market has been accredited to Jeff Siegel.[1] He first used the saying in 2004, and has since been a successful entrepreneur in that sector with a weekly investment service by the name of GCS (Green Chip Stocks).[2]
