Popcornflix LLC is a website and over-the-top (OTT) service offering free ad-supported streaming video of feature-length movies and webisodes. It is owned by Screen Media Ventures.[1]

History

Popcornflix was conceived in July 2010, and officially went into live beta in March 2011. Popcornflix utilizes aiMatch as its ad server,[2] and includes preroll, spot ads, and banner ads.[3] The site primarily consists of independent feature films, many of which come directly from Screen Media's library.[4] The service is currently accessible in the United States and Canada, with plans to launch in more territories in the future.[5]
