Washington Military Department

The Washington Military Department is a branch of the state government of Washington, United States.

The Washington Military Department contains four elements: the Washington National Guard, which includes the Washington Army National Guard and the Washington Air National Guard; the Washington State Guard; the Washington Emergency Management Division and the Washington Youth Academy.

The Washington National Guard is trained to fight forest fires.
